The Tri-State Amateur Radio Club , Inc. (TARC) is a non-profit association located in the Tri-State Region of Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri, The association is designed to promote interest and furnish instruction in Amateur Radio in order to provide an organized group of Amateur Radio operators trained and prepared to render emergency communications in the public interest. TARC has a membership that draws from all license classes as well as all geographic locations. Our primary focus is Richardson County, Nebraska, Doniphan County, Kansas and Atchison County, Missouri.
We are still a young club (we only formally organized in Feb., 2004) so we haven't had many activities as of yet. Our first one was Field Day 2004. We are in the planning stages for 2008-2009 now.
We are establishing a repeater in this area, We have established a 440 repeater in St.Joseph Mo that is off the air for coordination. It will be linked with other repeaters up the I-29 corridor. There is a map of the link on the repeater page.
The newest repeater is up as of Spring 2007. It is located in Humboldt Nebraska on a freq of 147.075. See the repeater page for more information
